The DNP Group positions initiatives to environmental issues among our important management challenges. We will boost the environmental awareness of each and every employee, promote environmental conservation efforts throughout the entire supply chain from procurement to disposal and recycling, and contribute to the realization of a sustainable society.

1. We will remain aware of the environmental impact of our business activities, comply with environmental laws and regulations and endeavour to prevent environmental pollution.
2. We will make efforts to achieve carbon neutrality, in order to mitigate climate change, by minimizing energy use in our business activities, and introducing renewable energy.
3. We will minimize our use of resources, and focus on reducing and recycling waste, targeting the use of sustainable resources.
4. We seek to achieve harmony with local ecosystems to conserve biodiversity.
5. We will pursue the development and popularization of eco-friendly products and services aiming to reduce environmental impact throughout the entire supply chain.

In order to achieve these initiatives, we will build an environmental management system, which we will operate by setting objectives and targets, and work hard to make continuous improvements.
We will make timely disclosures regarding these activities and engage in proactive communication with our stakeholders.

The DNP Group Code of Conduct states, “We shall contribute to the creation of a sustainable society, so that we can pass on our planet and its abundant blessings to following generations.” Based on that commitment, the entire Group works to use resources effectively, prevent global warming, and protect the environment.
As a member of the DNP Group that develops and manufactures chemical products, we strive to contribute to our customers and to society by working to protect the global and regional environment, ensure safety throughout the product life cycle, and safeguard the health of employees and local residents.
In 2002, the Tokyo Plant and Kasaoka Plant earned certification under ISO 14001, an international standard on environment management systems, and we’ve worked on an organizational level to protect the environment and reduce environmental impacts. In 2019, we consolidated DNP Fine Chemicals Utsunomiya Co., Ltd. with our ISO 14001 system to strengthen our environmental structures. Going forward, we remain committed to developing environmentally responsible products, starting during the development stage, while conducting an ongoing program of activities in accordance with our Environmental Policy.

Reflecting the DNP Group’s philosophy of “connecting individuals and society, and providing new value,” DNP Fine Chemicals Group’s Co., Ltd. contributes to the building of a sustainable society so that we can pass on a rich planet to the next generation.

1. All employees work together to establish goals and targets in accordance with this Environmental Policy and undertake a robust program of activities in an effort to make ongoing improvements and prevent pollution. We recognize global environmental problems and work to address them as a member of society.
2. In product research, development, design, manufacturing, and sales, we work to minimize environmental impacts, from raw material procurement to production, distribution, use, and disposal, with a special focus on saving energy and resources and on reducing industrial waste.
3. We strive to contribute to the building of a sustainable society by creating and supplying environmentally responsible products from the perspective of reducing environmental impacts throughout the product life cycle.
4. When manufacturing products, we follow all applicable laws, establish ambitious targets, and appropriately manage environmental impacts so as to minimize them. Additionally, we make innovations and improvements to manufacturing processes in order to prevent global warming, save resources, and reduce industrial waste.
5. We’ve put in place an environmental management system in accordance with this Environmental Policy, and we strive to undertake concrete activities while making ongoing improvements.
