Why Aseptic Systems?

DNP Group specialist in aseptic filling systems

Aseptic Systems is the DNP Group company specializing in aseptic filling systems.

We provide aseptic filling solutions for PET bottles, carton packs, and Bag-in-Box (BiB) packaging. In addition to equipment, we support beverage manufacturers with technical expertise, line optimization, and solutions that help improve productivity and reduce environmental impact.

Over 50 years of aseptic technology expertise

Our systems are built on more than 50 years of aseptic technology experience developed in Japan, one of the world's most stringent markets for product quality and safety.

Our proprietary hydrogen peroxide sterilization technology enables reliable aseptic filling for multiple packaging formats, including PET bottles, carton packs, and Bag-in-Box (BiB). We help beverage manufacturers improve product safety, productivity, and sustainability.

Innovation driven by Kaizen philosophy

Our technology development is based on the Japanese philosophy of Kaizen (continuous improvement).

For more than 50 years, we have continuously improved product quality, production efficiency, and environmental performance. DNP currently holds more than 400 patents related to aseptic technology, reflecting our long-term commitment to solving manufacturing challenges through innovation.

Technologies for a sustainable future

While our current business focuses on aseptic filling systems for PET bottles, we are also expanding our technologies to other packaging formats.

We continue to develop solutions that reduce energy consumption, lower CO₂ emissions, support lightweight packaging, and contribute to more sustainable beverage manufacturing worldwide.

Applications

Supporting multiple packaging formats

For international projects, our aseptic filling systems are currently available for PET bottles only.

DNP has also developed aseptic filling technologies for other packaging formats, including carton packs and Bag-in-Box (BiB) systems, and these solutions are currently available in Japan. For packaging formats other than PET bottles, please contact us for further information.

Compatible with a wide range of beverages

Our systems can fill a wide range of beverages, including:

• Tea

• Coffee

• Functional drinks

• Juice

• Beverages containing pulp or particulates

• Water

• Carbonated drinks

We support PET bottle sizes from 100ml to 2,000ml and can be configured for both high-acid and low-acid products.

Benefits of aseptic filling technology

Hot-filling uses the heat of the product to sterilize the container. Aseptic filling sterilizes the product and the container separately before filling under sterile conditions.

Because filling takes place at ambient temperature, aseptic filling helps preserve beverage flavor and quality. It also enables the use of lightweight PET bottles, extends shelf life, supports ambient distribution, and helps reduce food waste and environmental impact.

Proprietary Technologies

Two-Step Sterilization for enhanced sterility and efficiency

Two-Step Sterilization is our proprietary technology that sterilizes the preform before blow molding and sterilizes the bottle again after molding.

This approach reduces equipment footprint, hydrogen peroxide consumption, energy use, and operating costs while maintaining a high level of sterility.

Technologies for improved production efficiency

F₀ Solution continuously monitors sterilization performance during SIP based on temperature data and can reduce SIP time by approximately 50%.

CSIP performs CIP and SIP simultaneously, significantly reducing changeover time between production runs and improving production efficiency.

Energy-efficient water sterilization technology

GREEN ASEPTIC™ is our non-thermal water sterilization technology that combines medium-pressure UV lamps with sterile filtration.

Depending on beverage and process conditions, it can significantly reduce the energy required for water sterilization while helping lower CO₂ emissions and operating costs.

Quality & Food Safety

Reliable sterility assurance

We sterilize the product, container, and filling environment separately before filling under aseptic conditions.

Critical process parameters are continuously monitored and recorded to ensure stable aseptic performance throughout production.

Proven aseptic validation approach

We use a validation methodology developed through decades of aseptic experience in Japan.

Sterility and process performance are verified through media-fill testing, operational qualification, and other internationally recognized validation procedures before commercial production.

High sterility for beverage safety

High-level sterility minimizes the risk of microbial contamination during production.

This helps reduce safety risks such as product recalls, supports preservative-free formulations, extends shelf life, and contributes to reducing food waste throughout the supply chain.

Compliance with global regulatory standards

Yes.

Our rotary aseptic filling machine became the world's first of its kind to receive FDA clearance in 2005. Since then, we have completed 12 FDA-approved aseptic filling line installations and support customers worldwide with systems designed to meet international regulatory requirements.

Productivity & Sustainability

High productivity through extended operation

Our systems achieve over 98% availability, support changeovers as short as 1.0–2.0 hours, and enable continuous production runs of over 150 hours for low-acid beverages.

Reduced production loss and waste

Stable aseptic operation helps reduce product defects and waste.

Efficient cleaning and changeover procedures also reduce product loss, utility consumption, and production downtime.

AI and digital technologies for smarter manufacturing

AI and digital technologies can help improve productivity, equipment availability, and product quality.

By analyzing operational data, manufacturers can identify operational inefficiencies, predict equipment failures, and optimize production processes.

Commitment to environmental sustainability

Reducing environmental impact is one of our key priorities.

We develop technologies that reduce energy consumption, water usage, chemical consumption, and CO₂ emissions throughout beverage production. GREEN ASEPTIC™ is one example of this approach.

Technologies for reducing CO₂ emissions

Our technologies reduce the energy required for sterilization, cleaning, and production.

Depending on the application, GREEN ASEPTIC™ can reduce CO₂ emissions by up to 80% compared with conventional UHT-based aseptic processes.

Solutions for reducing energy consumption

Yes.

GREEN ASEPTIC™ can reduce energy consumption by up to 80% compared with conventional processes, while F₀ Solution can reduce SIP time by approximately 50%, lowering steam consumption.

Solutions for reducing water consumption

Yes.

Two-Step Sterilization eliminates bottle water-rinsing, while GREEN ASEPTIC™ and CSIP reduce water consumption during cleaning and sterilization processes.

Reduced sterilization chemical consumption

Yes.

Our Two-Step Sterilization technology can reduce hydrogen peroxide consumption by approximately 50% compared with conventional bottle sterilization systems. Waterless bottle sterilization can also reduce water usage and wastewater treatment requirements.

Compatible with lightweight PET bottles

Yes.

Our dry sterilization technology places minimal thermal stress on the bottle, making it suitable for lightweight PET designs. Two-Step Sterilization also supports flexible bottle structures with lower resin usage.
