AN-IPPON ANIME X KOGEI is a brand launched by Dai Nippon Printing Co., Ltd. (DNP). The brand develops original products by combining intellectual properties (IP), such as anime, manga and games, with the distinctive qualities of traditional Japanese crafts.

By bringing together globally recognized anime IPs and Japanese craftsmanship, the brand offers products that provide new forms of enjoyment and added value to fans around the world.

Leveraging the planning, production, manufacturing and sales capabilities DNP has cultivated through its IP business, the brand combines IP such as anime, manga and games with traditional Japanese craftsmanship to create new products.

By connecting Japanese craftsmanship with contemporary design and storytelling, the brand aims to deliver new experiential value to fans and to expand as a platform for unique products and experiences.

AN-IPPON ANIME X KOGEI is a brand developed by DNP for global markets, combining Japanese anime with traditional crafts from regions across Japan.

The name “IPPON” embodies the ideas of pursuing a single path with dedication and upholding a strong and consistent philosophy.

By integrating the long-established spirit of Japanese craftsmanship with the immersive worlds of anime, the brand offers products that go beyond conventional character merchandise and deliver the value and authenticity of traditional crafts.

Under this brand, DNP integrates intellectual properties (IP) with traditional craftsmanship techniques and materials to create new interpretations of Japanese crafts.

By capturing the warmth and character of handcrafted products—qualities not found in mass-produced goods—the brand offers items with distinctive craftsmanship value.

Looking ahead, the brand will continue to collaborate with a wide range of IP holders and craft regions to deliver products and experiences that reinterpret Japanese culture for customers in Japan and around the world.

As the first release, the brand introduces a product lineup that combines the anime “NARUTO SHIPPUDEN” with traditional crafts from various regions across Japan.

These small plates are made using Kutani ware, a traditional craft representing Ishikawa Prefecture.

Known for its bold color overglaze and intricate hand-painted details, Kutani ware is combined with motifs from NARUTO to create a distinctive design. (5 plates per set)

Akabeko is a traditional folk craft from the Aizu region of Fukushima Prefecture.

Each piece is carefully handcrafted by local artisans, featuring motifs inspired by characters as well as the “Tailed Beasts” appearing in the series. (5 pieces per set / 2 variations)

This scarf is made using Yonezawa textiles, a traditional weaving technique from Yonezawa City in Yamagata Prefecture.

By leveraging the unique texture and craftsmanship of Yonezawa weaving, the world of NARUTO is expressed as a fashion item. (Available in 2 designs)

DNP will continue to provide end-to-end support, including coordination with IP rights holders, product planning with craft-producing regions, and sales and promotional activities in the U.S.

Through these ongoing efforts, we aim to establish a new overseas business model that connects Japan-generated IP with traditional craft industries from across Japan.
