DNP's Cover Tapes

Cover tape is used to seal carrier tape that transports electronic components and semiconductor products. DNP's cover tape is available in grades for embossed carrier tape and paper carrier tape, and has been used worldwide in the electronic components and semiconductor industries for over 20 years.

DNP's cover tape is used to seal embossed carrier tapes (materials for transporting electronic components and semiconductor parts). With its stable sealing strength, it prevents the tape from peeling off during assembly and ensures that the products do not pop out. As a result, it is widely used for various products, including connectors, quartz crystal units, LEDs, switches, capacitors, coils, resistors, and semiconductors (analog ICs, logic IC, memory).

You can clearly see the contents through the cover tape,because our products are highly transparent and have excellent visibility.
This helps prevents false detections by inspection equipment and maintains productivity during mass production.

DNP has a product lineup of cover tapes that can be used in a wide range of sealing temperature conditions and with various carrier tape materials (PC, PS, A-PET, PP).

Cover tape for paper carriers is called top tape. Top tape is used to seal paper carrier tape that transports electronic components and semiconductor products.
It is used for a wide range of products, including multilayer ceramic capacitors(MLCC), piezoelectric elements, inductors (coils), and varistors.

DNP's top tape experiences minimal changes in surface resistivity and peel charge voltage even after being exposed to environmental stress (high temperature and humidity).
This reduces the risk of products sticking to the cover tape or popping out during the assembly process.

You can be confident about exporting them to hot and humid regions or transporting them by sea for long periods of time, because our products are not affected by high temperatures or high humidity.
