Shueisha, founded in 1876, and Nisshin Printing, founded in 1910, merged in 1935 to form Dai Nippon Printing Co., Ltd. After focusing on publishing printing, the company announced its "five-year reconstruction plan" in 1951 after the war, promoting "expansion printing," which expanded business area through the application and development of printing technology.
