DNP's business development in virtual space

With improvements in communications environments such as the 5th generation mobile communications system (5G), and the evolution and widespread adoption of video expression technology and devices, there is a growing demand for digital content experiences and the need for remote support. Services that allow experiences without visiting exhibitions and other venues are expanding. In response to these needs, DNP will develop a business in virtual reality.

DNP has developed a variety of communication methods that utilize its unique strengths in "P&I" (printing and information), and has been promoting a content communication business that disseminates "Cool Japan content" such as anime and manga to the world both in real and virtual spaces, together with content holders such as publishers and anime production companies. DNP-operated facilities such as the "Tokyo Anime Center in DNP Plaza" (Ichigaya, Tokyo) host special exhibitions utilizing a variety of content.

Going forward, DNP will combine the content expression and spatial production techniques and know-how it has cultivated through these businesses and exhibitions with the latest VR technology, and will widely host "virtual exhibitions" that will realize new forms of communication in virtual space.
