Tokyo, April 28, PT DNP Indonesia, a member of Dai Nippon Printing Co., Ltd. (DNP) Group, will exhibit at interpack 2023, the European exhibition for the processing and packaging industry, to be held at Düsseldorf, Germany from May 4 to 10, 2023. In addition, Dai Nippon Printing (Thailand) Co., Ltd. will exhibit at ProPak Asia 2023 to be held in Bangkok, Thailand from June 14 to 17, 2023. The DNP Group will exhibit new products of high-performance environmentally friendly film, including recycle-ready mono-material packaging.

Background
Efforts to recycle used plastics as a resource are accelerating around the world, triggered by the problem of ocean plastic pollution. In particular, many global manufacturers in Europe and the United States have declared their intent to make recyclable packaging an integral part of their environmental policies. To achieve the goal of environmentally friendly packaging, there is a growing demand for recycle-ready mono-material packaging with a single material such as polypropylene (PP) or polyethylene (PE) that provide water vapor and oxygen barrier properties along with heat resistance, instead of multi-material packaging that are difficult to recycle. DNP is leveraging strengths in vapor deposition and film forming technologies to promote the development and provision of environmentally friendly functional films, such as mono-material packaging materials.
DNP Exhibits
DNP Mono-material Packaging: This packaging is a single material that combines water vapor and oxygen barrier properties along with heat resistance and improved recyclability. It can be designed to comply with the guidelines of A Circular Economy For Flexible Packaging (CEFLEX), a consortium promoting a circular economy in the flexible packaging industry in Europe.
