People and Nature Working Together to Shape
Future Standards

A Place Where People and Nature Co-create
The Ichigaya district in Tokyo has been home to DNP since 1886, when our predecessor, Shueisha, first established its factory here. For nearly 140 years, we have grown alongside this community. As part of a major redevelopment to transform Ichigaya into a core hub for value creation, we established
Ichigaya no mori (Ichigaya Forest), a lush green space that encircles our offices. This new urban forest was meticulously designed by professionals in urban development, architecture, and landscaping, who sought to embody the essence of both DNP and the Ichigaya district from multiple perspectives, envisioning it as a new model for urban forest creation.
Through this redevelopment, we have integrated diverse functions including sales, planning, technology, and R&D to foster “Taiwa (dialogue) and cooperation” and deepen partnerships for the continuous creation of “New Value.” The Ichigaya district is more than just a place for business growth, it is a vital space where people and nature co-create a better future.

A New Urban Forest, Nurtured by Human Hands
The Ichigaya district in Tokyo has been home to DNP since 1886, when our predecessor, Shueisha, first established its factory here. For nearly 140 years, we have grown alongside this community.
In this bustling urban hub, DNP is working to realize “sustainable and enriching lifestyles” by fostering harmony between people and nature and actively promoting environmental initiatives within the community.

Where Diverse People Gather and the Seeds of Value Begin to Sprout
In the Ichigaya district, DNP has established a major hub for integrated value creation. Our buildings, named after local historical neighborhoods such as Ichigaya-Kagacho, Ichigaya-Takajomachi, and Ichigaya-Sanaicho, house various business divisions and bring together sales, planning, technology, and R&D functions.
With approximately 10,000 employees at this site, we foster Taiwa (dialogue) and cooperation and strengthen partnerships with external stakeholders to drive the creation of new value.

Ichigaya sits on the border of Shinjuku and Chiyoda wards, where bustling office districts, lively student neighborhoods, and upscale residential areas coexist. Within this urban tapestry, DNP has created Ichigaya no mori (Ichigaya Forest), a corporate green space that has emerged within the city.
Ichigaya no Mori (Ichigaya Forest) has now become a much-loved place of relaxation for local residents. How did it come to be, and how has it been nurtured? This is its journey so far.
