DNP Group Response to the Corona Virus (COVID-19) as of April 10

The Japanese government has declared a state of emergency following the spread of COVID-19. In response to this, Dai Nippon Printing Co., Ltd. (DNP) will work to further strengthen ongoing infection control measures.

The Company has established a Central Corona Virus Control Headquarters, headed by the President, Yoshinari Kitajima, to reduce infection risk. DNP will, in principle, follow the instructions of the government, related ministries and agencies, along with the authorities in each prefecture. We are continuing and strengthening the infection prevention measures currently in place, with the objective of maintaining business continuity so that we may continue our social existence. The following additional measures will be undertaken:

Employee Working Arrangements

  • Teleworking shall be the basic work arrangement for operations other than the manufacturing sector. Communication with business partners shall be made via e-mail, the telephone, and Web conferencing systems.
  • Regarding the manufacturing sector, the number of employees in attendance shall be minimized by appropriate adjustment of work shifts.
  • In instances where employees are required to attend their worksite, care should be taken to avoid crowds by staggering work hours or by commuting via private car.

DNP will continue to engage in efforts to prevent the spread of infection by placing top priority on the safety and security of our clients, business partners, employees and their families. We will also continue to respond in accordance with our Business Continuity Plan so as to prevent disruptions in business operations at our business partners. In particular, DNP will focus on continuing essential operations necessary in order for us to maintain our social lives. This will include the stable provision of data center operations and settlement services related to Electronic Commerce (EC) transactions, as well as packaging for daily necessities such as food, beverages, pharmaceuticals and active pharmaceutical ingredients.

DNP will continue to implement necessary measures as the situation demands.
