DNP to Support Art Festival Nuit Blanche KYOTO 2023

Contribution to D&I via posters advocating women’s rights

Tokyo, September 27, Dai Nippon Printing Co., Ltd. (DNP) will sponsor the modern art festival Nuit Blanche KYOTO 2023 to be held at 32 locations in Kyoto City from September 30 to October 28, 2023. The event will be hosted by Kyoto City and Institut français du Kansai (IfK).

DNP advocates Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) as an important management issue, and has been promoting the active participation of female employees for more than 20 years. In this latest development, we will express our support for the spirit embodied in a Poster Exhibition Appealing for Women's Rights hosted by IfK, which is one of the main program events of Nuit Blanche KYOTO 2023. We will collaborate with approximately 30 graphic designers from around the world to print their works, which will be exhibited at a venue located at the Shijo-dori Higashinotoin Underpass. By harnessing the power of art, DNP will contribute to the creation of a society where people accept diverse values and a society filled with imaginative and creative people.

D&I Initiatives by the DNP Group

In the DNP Group Code of Conduct we advocate "Respect for human dignity and diversity,” and in line with the establishment of a human rights policy through our business activities we focus on providing optimal value to the many different people living in a diverse society. In order to achieve this we are actively promoting D&I, and aim for an equilibrium where it is natural to utilize diverse individuals. Each of our employees is a Member in Diversity, and including and combining these strengths, is the source of DNP value creation. In particular, in order to increase diversity in decision-making, we are pouring our efforts into the active participation and promotion of women. In addition, we are working to make the most of women's abilities by providing them with fair opportunities, and not merely having them adapt to the existing environment.

Through our support for the Poster Exhibition Appealing for Women's Rights, DNP will engage in active communication within the company and also with the broader external environment, leading to the creation of a corporate culture and society in which a diverse range of individuals, including women, can thrive.
