Tokyo, March 1, Dai Nippon Printing Co., Ltd. (DNP) and DNP Imagingcomm Asia Sdn. Bhd.¹ (DNP Imagingcomm Asia), a DNP Group Company, are pleased to announce that we will exhibit for the first time at DEAL 2024². The Dubai Entertainment Amusement & Leisure Exhibition (DEAL) is an international trade fair for the amusement and leisure industry for Middle East and Africa market and celebrates 30th edition this year. In 2023, 250 companies exhibited, while approximately 8,500 visitors attended.

DEAL 2024 will take place at the Dubai World Trade Center from March 5 to 7, and the DNP Group booth will be located at Hall no. 2, 2B-132. We will propose solutions that utilize high-quality Sublimation Digital Photo Printers and Photo Printer Media, including Sublimation Thermal Transfer Recording Materials to visitors from the amusement and photo-related industries from all over the world.

Our companies aim to expand the potential of photo printing and install an artificial intelligence (AI) Photo Booth that AI automatically creates images and illustrations based on facial photos, photos, and a huge 2 meter-square Mosaic Photo Wall composed of 260 photo prints, in collaboration with Qatar based Futad Advertising.

Dye Sublimation Digital Photo Printer

We will introduce the DNP Group’s line up of photo printers that meet the diverse needs associated with photo printing. 

Media for photo printers, including sublimation type thermal transfer recording materials

This line up of products from the DNP Group is used for a wide range of purposes, including photo printing for amusement venues and events, and ID photos, such as passports. High-quality prints with smooth gradation unique to dye-sublimation can be achieved. In addition, by painting, or over-coating a transparent resin on the surface of the print, it is also possible to realize high durability against water, and the oily aspects of fingerprints. We are pleased to be able to say that we have captured the top global share in this field.

2, Mosaic Photo Wall

During the DEAL 2024 photos taken by visitors to the DNP booth will be printed on sticker paper using the dye sublimation digital photo printer DS620. Some 260 photos have been combined to create a 2 meter-square huge image of the city of Dubai. It is also possible to print out photos not used for mosaics, using the sublimation digital photo printer RX1HS, and take them home. 

3, AI Photo Booth

Visitors to the DNP booth can take a facial photo, and the AI will automatically create an image or illustration on the spot. Visitors can then print out the image or illustration using the sublimation digital photo printer RX1HS and take them home.

Going Forward

The DNP Group will continue to promote value-added businesses that utilize photo printing. We aim to increase sales in the event, amusement, and leisure-related businesses, and to achieve annual sales of USD 4 million in photo-related services in the Middle East and Africa in FY2026.
