DNP's retort pouches has been thriving in the food industry since 1975. DNP's flexible pouches and films are designed for packaging ready-to-eat foods that require long shelf-life. In addition, they are made of high-barrier materials and manufactured using state-of-the-art technology. DNP's extensive experience and expertise allow us to provide high-quality flexible packaging solutions tailored to your needs. We offer two types of material: Aluminum-based and Transparent type, both of which have high barrier properties to ensure long-term storage of food.

DNP's Transparent Barrier Film is a functional film that has superior moisture barrier and oxygen barrier properties.

This packaging material is designed to regulate internal moisture by blending a desiccant into a polyolefin-based film resin, allowing it to absorb moisture both inside the package and from its contents. For example, some pharmaceuticals are highly hygroscopic, absorbing moisture from the air and degrading over time, which leads to reduced efficacy. "DNP's Moisture-Absorbing Laminate" addresses this issue with high moisture absorption performance and flexible packaging design tailored to the specific needs of the contents.

This environmentally friendly package is made from a single material (Mono-material), making it easy to recycle. To tackle environmental problems such as ocean plastic waste pollution, the world is promoting plastics recycling to realize a recycling-oriented society, and Mono-material packaging is attracting attention in this context. DNP has been pioneering Mono-material packaging with polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) specifications by adding the necessary functions to the packaging using our proprietary converting, film-forming, and vapor deposition technologies cultivated to date.

Since introducing Japan’s first hydrogen-peroxide aseptic filling machine for PET bottles in 1994, DNP has helped beverage manufacturers safeguard product quality, improve line efficiency, and minimize environmental impact. Today more than 200 of our machines run worldwide—including 60% of the domestic market—each backed by a comprehensive catalogue of PET preforms tailored to diverse bottle concepts.

DNP's aseptic CSD (carbonated soft drink) is a pasteurizer-free aseptic filling system that fills highly carbonated beverages in lightweight, non-crystallized PET, maintaining full sterility while dramatically reducing water, steam, and line footprint. It’s the ideal choice for brands seeking premium carbonation without heavy bottles, heat damage or expensive utility costs.

DNP’s N₂ Hood is an in-line, hooded module that purges over 90% of headspace air with sterile nitrogen—even at 72,000 bottles per hour (BPH)—preserving taste and nutrients while reducing oxidation-related losses. It is the ideal choice for producers seeking both maximum efficiency and uncompromised product quality.

DNP’s aseptic filling system achieves industry-leading productivity by integrating two proprietary sterilization technologies—F₀ Solution and CSIP—into a proven high-speed line design. These innovations enable faster sterilization cycles and reduced energy consumption, helping manufacturers meet growing demand without compromising product safety.

Paper–film–aluminium lamination technology transforms the liquid packaging carton for long shelf life into a gable-top liquid packaging carton with exceptional oxygen- and light-barrier performance. It keeps beverages and sauces shelf-stable at room temperature for the long term, reduces plastic usage, and aligns with the global shift toward paper-based solutions. The pack tolerates both ambient and 70–90 °C hot-fill processing, then travels without cold-chain, and is suitable for high-proof spirits as well as flavor-sensitive condiments. Variations beyond the gable-top profile—such as flat-top cartons—are also available to meet diverse filling and pouring requirements.

DNP has introduced a next-generation aseptic filling system for PET bottles, featuring a proprietary Two-Step Sterilization process that integrates both preform and bottle decontamination. DNP’s medical sterilization pouch is the premier solution for user-friendly packaging. A proprietary heat-seal coating on the non-woven layer delivers a smooth, full-surface and clean peel while preserving a reliable sterile barrier. Compatible with EOG, gamma irradiation, E-beam, steam, and VHP cycles, this sterilization pouch brings together hygiene and ease of use across various medical sterilization methods.

The functional film complex PET bottle is a next-generation PET container that merges exceptional high barrier performance with sophisticated bottle design by integrally molding a PET preform and a high-performance functional film. Developed as a lightweight, glass-alternative solution for today’s booming e-commerce market, it cuts shipping costs and virtually eliminates breakage in transit. Fully compliant with Japan’s Container and Packaging Recycling Law, it can be recycled through standard PET streams for an eco-friendly lifecycle. In 1994, DNP launched Japan’s first aseptic PET-bottle filling system, establishing our leadership in PET-bottle technology. Since 2013, we have been conducting dedicated R&D on functional film complex PET bottle technology, and provide total support from original bottle shape design to packaging materials and filling.

With the global demand for soft drinks continuing to grow, the use of PET bottles is expected to increase accordingly. In response to this expanding market, beverage manufacturers are intensifying their efforts to adopt environmentally conscious practices, particularly by tackling the challenge of decarbonizing both the PET bottle production and the soft drink filling processes. To address these challenges, we have developed a proprietary non-thermal sterilization system that takes into account the water content ratio in soft drinks.
