Announcement Regarding Completion of Share Acquisition of KYOWA PHARMA CHEMICAL

Tokyo, October 1, 2026, Dai Nippon Printing Co., Ltd. has acquired all shares1 of KYOWA PHARMA CHEMICAL CO., LTD. (KYOWA PHARMA), from its shareholder, KYOWA HAKKO BIO CO., LTD. KYOWA PHARMA is a company engaged in the manufacture of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) with headquarters in Takaoka City, Toyama Prefecture.
As a result of the share acquisition, KYOWA PHARMA became a consolidated subsidiary of DNP as of October 1, 2026, and will change its corporate name to DNP Pharma Chemical in February 2027. The name change is intended to foster a greater sense of unity across the DNP Group and further enhance collaboration in research and development and manufacturing.
By combining the R&D and manufacturing capabilities, encompassing APIs, formulations, and packaging, of the DNP Group, with the advanced API development and manufacturing technologies of KYOWA PHARMA, DNP aim to establish a Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) capable of providing one-stop support from APIs through finished pharmaceutical products and packaging.
Via collaboration across various stages, starting from the early phases of development, DNP will contribute to streamlining pharmaceutical companies' drug discovery processes, shortening development timelines, and strengthening stable supply systems.
