Dai Nippon Printing Co., Ltd. (DNP) was awarded two Special Prizes in the Best of Show Award at Interop Tokyo 2017 in recognition of the Company's Comprehensive Application Security Services and for a Metal-Compatible IC Tag. The two awards were presented to DNP product chiefs by the judges at the DNP booth on June 7.

Products entered by participating companies at Interop Tokyo 2017, were judged for The Best of Show Award by a Review Committee made up of key media figures and academic experts. Interop Tokyo 2017 saw approximately 300 products compete for awards including Grand Prizes, Runners up Awards and the Special Prize for sections including Cloud Services and Network Security.

Comprehensive Application Security Service

A service designed to boost information security functions in a one-stop manner from the application development stage through post-release. The service is comprised of three components. Firstly; CrackProof, an application security hardening software designed to prevent application tampering and malicious analysis, while protecting users from cracking-originated damage. Second, an Automatic App Audit Service that detects the presence of illegal code implantations at the application development stage. And finally, an App Protection Service designed to allow users to check the danger of other applications at the application execution stage, and select whether to start-stop or uninstall. By implementing this three stage multi-layered security measure, it is now possible to increase security beyond currently available levels. 
This service received Special Prize for Security Products in the Best of Show Award.

Metal-Compatible IC Tag

An IC tag, jointly developed by DNP and Phoenix Solution, designed for stable read-offs even when applied to metallic products. With currently available metal compatible IC tags, it has been possible to perform read-offs only from the face of the IC tag, but with the newly developed product it is possible to leverage the metallic product to which the Metal-Compatible IC Tag is attached as an antenna component, facilitating non-contact communication. As a result, radio wave directivity is broadened, and it is now possible to read-off from the sides and rear. Read-offs may also be performed even if the metallic products are situated amidst numerous other metals. This product was awarded Special Prize for the Gadget section in the Best of Show Award.
