DNP Indonesia, Impack Pratama and Marubeni Indonesia Launch Plastic Waste-to-Building Material Initiative in Line with Government Regulation No. 75/2019

Tokyo, Japan October 22, 2025, PT. DNP Indonesia, Impack Pratama Industri Tbk, and PT. Marubeni Indonesia are pleased to announce the launch of a collaborative initiative to recycle post-industrial plastic waste into value-added building materials. This project directly supports Indonesia’s national efforts to address plastic waste, in alignment with Regulation No. 75/2019 issued by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry of the Republic of Indonesia.

Under this initiative, plastic waste previously incinerated at DNP Indonesia’s facility will now be collected and transferred to Impack Pratama, where it will be processed into durable and sustainable building materials. These recycled products will be marketed and sold nationwide, contributing to the development of a more circular economy within Indonesia’s manufacturing and construction sectors.

This partnership demonstrates a practical and scalable solution to the growing plastic waste issue in Indonesia, where industrial plastic disposal remains a significant environmental challenge. By leveraging each company's strengths—DNP Indonesia’s commitment to responsible waste handling, Impack Pratama’s advanced material conversion technologies, and Marubeni Indonesia’s commercial expertise—the project embodies a model for industry-led sustainability initiatives.

The three companies hope this initiative will inspire similar collaborations and contribute meaningfully to Indonesia’s target of reducing plastic waste by 30% as outlined in Regulation No. 75.
