DNP to Exhibit at Medical Fair Thailand for First Time

Tokyo, August 20, 2025, Dai Nippon Printing Co., Ltd. (DNP) will exhibit for the first time at MEDICAL FAIR THAILAND 2025, to be held at Bangkok Exhibition and Convention Centre (BITEC), Bangkok, Thailand from September 10th to September 12th, 2025.

DNP will exhibit a variety of medical and pharmaceutical packaging, including sterilization bags, along with easy to recycle mono-material packaging, to maintain the quality and the safety of medical devices and pharmaceuticals¹.

DNP has been working to optimize the supply chain in the medical and pharmaceutical industries. We support the safety and stable supply to the healthcare industry, as well as the reduction of environmental impact with the aim of realizing a sustainable society.

By applying heat and pressure to seal with laminated clear film side, Special coating technology onto non-woven fabric can make the pouch easy to open. It can be easy and clean peeled by hand without generating dust, achieving both hygienic and convenient to use such as in surgical scene.

Mono-material packaging - polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PL)

We make the packaging from a single material, boosting recycling efficiency and environmentally friendly. And by taking advantage of the proprietary film-extrusion, vapor deposition and converting technologies developed by DNP over many years, we are able to provide the packaging with the oxygen and water vapor high barrier properties and filling machinability required of packaging.

PP high-barrier top lid for Press-Through-Packaging (PTP)

DNP has developed a PTP high-barrier PP top lid³, which could be the same material as the PTP bottom PP sheet, as a replacement for the aluminum foil in PTP material. As of now, when recycling PTP material, an extra process was required to separate the bottom plastic sheet and aluminum foil top lid. By applying the newly developed PTP high-barrier PP top lid, it will be possible to create an easy to recycle mono-material packaging.

3: PTP. A method of packaging medicines in the form of a sheet in which tablets or capsules are packed between bottom plastic pocket and top aluminum lid sheet. Pressing firmly on the bottom plastic pocket breaks the aluminum top lid, allowing the medicine to take out one tablet at a time.
